Case Study: Amenities Block – Holiday Park – North Yorkshire

After successfully completing phase 1 of a refurbishment project for an award-winning Holiday Park in North Yorkshire. ACC Flooring were contracted to complete the resin flooring requirements for both the female and male bathroom facilities in a second amenities block on site.

All existing old vinyl and adhesives were removed prior to mechanical preparation of the existing substrate using enclosed diamond vacuum grinding which removes any laitance to leave a clean keyed surface which aids the adhesion of the resin system.

Once all areas were fully prepared and primed, Altroscreed 4mm Slip Resistant Variant which was chosen by the client was installed to both the floor and coving detail, Altroscreed 4mm is a solvent free decorative epoxy screed system, Turquoise was chosen for the Male Toilets and Citrine for the Female facilities. Once cured two coats of Altroscreed slip resistant seal coat was applied to complete the installation.

Altroscreed 4mm systems can be used in medium to heavy duty areas and provide a moderate level of chemical and impact resistance, can be laid to falls and cove detail, and also provide a seamless floor finish.

Altroscreed 4mm systems are also typically used in Reception Areas, Walkways, Corridors, Laboratories and Dining/Canteen areas.

Altroscreed seal coats, encapsulate the system and seal the surface for hygiene and ease of cleaning.
