Case Study: Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastics Producer

As an experienced industrial flooring contractor with over 30 years experience in the industry, we were contacted by a glass fibre reinforced plastics producer with a worldwide client base to refurbish one of their production lines. The company wanted to use colour to identify specific production and non-production areas for its employees.

After consulting the business, ACC Flooring produced a detailed plan incorporating production areas, work in progress, pedestrian routes and designated walkways to provide a safe environment. The substrate was prepared by diamond grinding equipment with particular attention to diamond edge grinding around plant and machinery. Each individual area was meticulously marked out prior to the installation of 2 coats of high build coating with yellow line demarcation in the form of hatching’s and also to highlight the pedestrian walkway.

The high build coating provides a dust free production space for the company which eliminates the potential of dust contamination on their glass fibre woven bespoke product range.
