Case Study: Manufacturer of Health & Beauty

ACC Flooring was asked by a long standing client to help with their drainage and flooring issues in one section of their manufacturing facility.

The small room was to have a change of use which required uplifting and removing two existing scales and infilling the footprint. The room had a drainage system in place which wasn’t fit for purpose for the proposed change of use. In partnership with Blucher UK, we designed a new drainage system which encompassed two sides of the room.

The existing drainage system was uplifted and removed; a heavy duty polymer modified cementitious screed was laid to falls and allowed to cure for 3 days. The new drainage system which included 14 metres of stainless steel drainage including two side outlets was installed and allowed to set.

A heavy duty polyurethane screed in Charcoal was installed at 6mm to provide not only a slip resistant profile, but a product which is not only durable but impact and chemical resistant and easy to clean.

ACC WR polyurethane wall render finished with coloured polyurethane grout in Charcoal was installed to a small area of damaged coving. The expansion joints were saw cut and infilled with flexible mastic again in Charcoal.

The area was returned to the client within seven days enabling them to plan the movement, installation and commissioned of their plant and equipment into this newly refurbished room with the minimum amount of disruption and downtime.
