Case Study: Independent Living Accommodation – Mirfield

ACC Flooring were contacted by a new client, whilst they were based in London the project was at an Independent Living Complex in Mirfield West Yorkshire.

They had a tired and well used communal Refuse Area of approx. 34m2 that need refurbishment. After a site visit from ACC Flooring, the client chose a heavy duty polyurethane screed in Mid Grey at a nominal 6mm thickness to be installed.

The benefits of a heavy duty polyurethane screed is it has good durability, abrasion, impact and chemical resistance. It has a textured matt finish and can be installed in both wet and dry environments. If installed at 9mm thickness it is stable to steam cleaning and hot water exposure. Heavy duty polyurethane screeds can be used in, Food, Beverage and Chemical industries.

The area was then finished with a coving detail using a heavy duty polyurethane wall render in Mid Grey to match the new installed flooring at a nominal 200mm high as requested by the client to aid cleaning and protection of the wall.
