Case Study: Manufacturer and Distributor of Digital Printable Media – Lancashire

Having previously completed a project to install a high build epoxy coating into the clients Warehouse back in 2022, ACC were invited to quote for installation of a high build coating into the Demo Area which was to be refurbished.

After a site visit by our sales Manager to access the requirements of the client, a quote was issued and accepted and works started in July 2026.

Part of the area to be refurbished had previously been covered with Vinyl, this was removed by the client prior to our arrival on site but had a left an area where the adhesive was proving difficult to remove.

The floor should be dry, structurally sound, be free of contaminants, friable material and laitance, and have a surface finish the epoxy resin can bond to. As with all resin flooring projects, preparation is Key!

ACC Flooring removed the adhesive with the aid of scrapper blade attachments and then the whole floor area of approx. 530m2 was mechanically prepared by way of enclosed shotblasting to remove any contaminants, a powerful integrated vacuum system captures the rebounding steel shot, debris and dust, making the process virtually dust free, highly efficient and safe for internal areas.

Once the area was fully prepared, the 1st coat of ACC HB SF a solvent free high build epoxy coating in the clients chosen colour of Light Grey was installed and then left to cure overnight. The following morning the 2^nd and final coat of the ACC HB SF in Light Grey was applied and left to cure.

The project was completed with the allotted programme and handed back to the client who was very happy with the result.
