Case Study: Manufacturer of Fibreglass Composites – West Yorkshire

ACC Flooring were contacted by one of their valued customers of over 15 years to help with a refurbishment project that required the reconfiguration of one of their Production Areas.

A site visit was carried out by the Sales Manager at ACC and a programme of works to suit the client was discussed.

Preparation to the Production Area was carried out using enclosed diamond vacuum grinding to remove any old loose coatings and laitance to ensure a clean sound substrate is left to receive the resin floor finish.

Some small areas of making good to the floor were required, these were repaired using a low odour polyurethane concrete repair mortar.

Once the floor area was fully prepared, 2 coats of a solvent free high build epoxy coating in Mid Grey was applied to the floor to give a blank canvas for the reconfigured safety demarcation to be installed as requested by the client.

High build coatings are hard wearing for medium duty traffic areas, such as Warehouses, Factories, Workshops, Packing and Storage areas.

Slip resistant options are available and can be tailored to suit the requirements of the client.

A Green walkway was then installed using the solvent free high build epoxy and highlighted with Altroline Safety Yellow lines to border the newly installed walkway.

A Red Aisleway was installed again using a solvent free high build epoxy coating, hatchings were installed along with stencilled wording and numbers as specified by the client, using the Safety Yellow line marking system.

Altroline is a durable solvent free epoxy high build floor coating for use as a high visibility line marking system and comes in Safety Yellow, Safety Red, Black and White, and has a good chemical resistance and ease of cleaning.
